This is No.1 Destination People Want to Visit Before They Die!

Drum roll please. Hawaii has just been voted the number one destination people want to visit before they die. According to a new study by AARP, travelling to the tropical islands is at the top of everyone’s agenda.

The study found that millennial travellers were most likely to have a bucket list (74%), followed by the GenXers (58%) and then the Boomers (46%). The study also found that of those who said they did keep some sort of list, 83% of Boomers had at least one travel-related ‘to-do’ on it, followed by 76% of GenXers and 69% of millennials.

Most of the findings were directly located to a specific location, as opposed to a very ‘specific activity or attraction at the destination,’ according to the AARP.Out of all the things in the study, it was the island nation of Hawaii that came out on top. Eighteen percent of the Boomer generation said the paradise straddling the pacific ocean was their top domestic destination, followed by the likes of Alaska, California, Arizona, Nevada (Vegas, obviously) and New York.

Why go to Hawaii? Easy. A laid-back culture, a string of luxury hotels, incredible nature and a load of once-in-a-lifetime experiences make the Aloha state one of the best places to chill out this year.
